Are you a passionate hand knitter? Channel 4’s hit knitting competition series Game of Wool is returning – and we’re on the hunt for skilled individuals to apply for our new series filming this summer!

Game of Wool celebrates the creativity, skill, and joy of knitting, and we want you to be part of the fun!

The application form is quite long - because we want to get to know you and your passion for knitting, so here are some tips on how best to fill it in:

- Eligibility Check: Begin by reading the Rules of Entry to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria.

- Share Your Passion: We want to hear about your enthusiasm for knitting. Provide as much information in the application form as you can about yourself, your creations and the skills you used to create them. If you are not confident in your writing skills don’t worry – share your passion with fewer words and more photos and videos.

- Honesty About Skills: While we want to know what you excel at, we’re also keen to learn about the areas where you lack experience too. Lack of experience in some areas will not necessarily exclude you. Please be honest but also don’t be shy - it all helps us understand your skill as a knitter.

- Attach Photos: Don’t forget to include a photo of yourself along with images of your creations.

Due to the high number of entries, we are unable to respond to each application individually or address specific inquiries about them.

You will receive a call from a member of our production team if we would like to take your application form further and some applicants may be invited to an audition.

For the knitters invited to one of our upcoming audition days in mid-April - we will be providing details of a knitted hat challenge which will form part of the selection process. This is your chance to wow us with your incredible skills! It is a knit only challenge, no crochet please and must be your own original design. We will provide those invited to the auditions with a more detailed brief, but the hat can be adult, child, or baby size and must be completed in 2 hours on the audition day. So get your thinking hats (!) on and start coming up with what you might do.
