AvailabilityIf you are shortlisted during the casting period, you will need to be available to attend an in-person audition at our London office on either Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th April 2026.Filming for the series will take place between Thursday 4th June and Friday 25th September 2026. There are 8 episodes within the series. If selected, across this 16-week period you will film an episode on location every other week. The week you are not filming you need to prepare your next design.Taking part in the competition requires a lot of your time and commitment but it is up to the individual whether they choose to work during their prep weeks. A set disturbance fee will be paid to you prior to each episode in which you participate. The production will also cover expenses including food, accommodation and petrol. There is a production break for all remaining designers and staff between Monday 27th July and Friday 31st July. Interior Design Masters will resume the week beginning 3rd August. This will be a prep week and filming the next episode will begin on Monday 10th August.You will also need to be available to film a backstory interview and creative activity at home or place of work prior to filming on location.A backstory is when a small filming team visits your home and/ or place of work to record an interview and creative activity. These sequences are used within the series to inform the viewer of your background and interets. This will take one day to film on a day convenient for you between Monday 18th May– 3rd June 2025. If they are happy to, we may ask for family and/ or friends to participate in the filming of your backstory.Should you reach the semi-final you will be required to film a further two backstories. One will appear in the semi-final episode and the other in the final. We will invite family and friends to take part.
