Pointless Series (34 35 36)

WELCOME TO POINTLESS

Pointless is a daytime BBC ONE quiz show and we are looking for pairs of fun, lively people to take part in the upcoming series.

Please complete the application form in as much detail as possible making sure to include a recent picture and/or short video clip of you and your fellow applicant. Once you’ve completed your application it will be looked over by a member of the casting team who may get in touch to discuss the next steps in the application process.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED COMPLETE UNTIL BOTH APPLICANTS HAVE COMPLETED THEIR RESPECTIVE FORMS.

We will discuss practical considerations with you regarding health & safety if you are selected to participate, but please bear in mind that you will be required to travel to our studio, possibly stay in a hotel overnight and be in close contact with your fellow applicant during the casting process and whilst at the studio and on set. While we shall adhere to our production safety protocols and follow all risk assessment recommendations to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19, there remains a possibility that you may come into direct or indirect contact with COVID-19 when participating in an activity involving other individuals working at relatively close proximity.

HOW TO FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION FORM

Thank you for expressing interest in Pointless, a Remarkable Entertainment production for the BBC.

Before you start to fill out the form we would like to explain that the information you and your fellow applicant give in this form will be used by us, Banijay UK Productions Limited t/a Remarkable Entertainment, to select potential contributors for 'Pointless' and (if you and your fellow applicant are selected), in the production, broadcast and exploitation of 'Pointless'. Full details about how your information in this form will be used are in our Contributor Privacy Policy and we have Terms and Conditions which also apply so please read these too.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Please note, if you reach the later stages of the contributor selection process, we will ask you for more information about your background. This will include asking you to tell us if you have ever been convicted of a criminal offence, if you have any criminal prosecutions pending or have ever been arrested or been the subject of an official police caution in respect of a sexual or violent offence or any type of fraud. We may ask you for the details of any of these. Giving a positive answer to those questions will not automatically disqualify you from participating in the programme. This information will be used in our contributor selection process, as part of the background checks we conduct to comply with our Health and Safety and other legal obligations including safeguarding the welfare of you and other applicants or contributors. KEEPING IN TOUCH

If your application is unsuccessful for the upcoming series or if you are shortlisted but not selected for the upcoming series, in order to consider you for future series of 'Pointless' and to contact you by email and/or telephone about future series, Remarkable Entertainment will usually retain your personal information collected for your application until 18 months from the end of production of the upcoming series.
